Jom Makan Kek

Thank God that my presentation went smoothly.

Saudara mara semua berduyun-duyun pergi melawat. Sepupu aku cakap kalau nak datang melawat, datang sebelum jam 7 malam.

I was stuck inside the parking lot for more than an hour, sebab beratus-ratus kereta bersenggut-senggut untuk melalui satu way out sahaja! Unacceptable!

10 Years of Service

Tahniah Myn.

Aku ingat nak ambil Kijang Emas. Okey tak?

So, what's the arrangement at your company? Ke lebih bagus lagi?

Football

Negaraku

This morning, reading about the court rejected Kamariah Ali's application for the civil court to hear her application to leave Islam, make me thinking there are quite a number of morons who read The Malaysian Insider.

They don't know the subject matter but tried to be subject matter expect.

The case is not about human rights, but it is about separation of powers between civil and shariah courts. A clear distinction of role and functions.

Kamariah Ali is just like Lina Joy, simply arrogant and stupid. Period.

If you want to leave Islam just go to shariah court. There are already a number of successful applications. Even if you go to a person's house, if you want to leave, is it right to use the balcony and jump into a neighbour's balcony, go inside and leave through his/her door?

Like Lina Joy, Kamariah Ali is behaving like a coward. She is afraid of what the court will find out, particularly the chronological events of being a murtad.

Just go to shariah court. Period.

Mandi Manda

Hujung minggu ini, Geng Bebudak Melaka berkunjung ke Pandan Perdana. It was intended for the last visit before Nazrol moves to Johor Bahru for his new promotion.

Our gathering was also attended by Ed , Din , Dollah and Mus.

The agenda skewed more to makan-makan than ronda-ronda. None showed any desire for shopping.

More borak-borak this time with more quality time spent to catch up with latest updates and happenings.

We even watched the rerun of Anugerah Planet Muzik, which saw the rise of Malaysian talents. Malaysia brought home the gongs for Best New Female Artist, Best Male Artist, Best Duo/Group, Best Collaboration and Best Song.

Oh, we also did a vocal exercise session at Ampang Park.

Mandi Manda

Aku, kalau member datang, memang tak ingat dunia!

My Geng KY

Not sure whether or I've introduced this circle of my friends here.

First of all, don't try to be naughty. This group has nothing to do with that lubricant! This is a group of people who happen to click with me, and we gather ourselves at a foodstall owned by Kak Yah :)

At early days, we used to meet up on friday night. Share with others how the week turned out.

That it became saturday night or sunday morning.

But since our unofficial team leader moved to Shah Alam (or is it Subang?) the gathering has become less frequent. Tambahan pula, seorang lagi ahli berpindah ke rumahnya sendiri.

Korumnya daripada 8 orang, kadang-kadang bertiga ataupun berempat sahaja.

Tapi kami bertuah sebab sempat bercuti sama-sama. Takde la jauh mana, ke Pulau Langkawi saja.

I love to talk about politics although my topic hardly well-received by others. I guess they're too polite to scream at my face, "screw you with your politics bullshits!"

But everyone of us love to discuss about showbiz. And I love to make them feel bad everytime they accidentally looked down on local industry. Well, I'm no a fighter for local scene but I just hate (I should use dislike instead, hate is too harsh isn't it) when people generalise things.

Who ask you to see Prof Madya's or Yusof Haslam's when you could see good stuff in Yasmin Ahmad's or Uwei Haji Shaari's! Who ask you to listen to Nordiana or Spoon, instead of Yuna, Ning Baizura or Hujan!

We argue and agree a lot.

Despite vast differrence in size, we do have one thing in common, we really need help in relationship department. Sometimes we could be a bit pathetic when handling the L thingy.

While some can be very protective, some are jiwang tahap gaban. And me? Commitment phobic!

Makan2 in Melaka: Roti Terbang Kg. 6

The interesting fact is, it's not that far from my parents' place!

Aku tak cuba pun roti canai ataupun roti telur di situ sebab malas nak menunggu lama-lama. Instead, I ordered a plate of fried noodles, tak nak pedas katanya!

Thank You, Mak!

Tapi aku tak jamah makanan laut, setakat cubit-cubit manja ikan siakap bakar sambil layan sebungkus nasi lemak.

This family dinner was sponsored by my beloved mother.

Alhamdulillah, the whole family was there. Alhamdulillah, terima kasih mak. Moga murah rezeki. Aamin...

Pasal keenakan makanan di sini, let me put it this way, the other place tastes much better!

Elak Pembaziran

Thanks to my housemate, if not because of him, I would have still keep these things far beyond their expiry dates!

Expiry date, October 2010!

Moral of the story, rajin-rajin lah jengak apa yang ada dalam kitchen cabinet tu!

Statement by Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Bersih rally

JULY 3 — Istana Negara tonight issued a statement by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin on the planned rally by Bersih.

Below is the translated full text of the King’s statement.

“I am following closely the developments of the proposed gathering and procession by Bersih with the aim of handing over a memorandum to me as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, and how the government, particularly the agencies and departments concerned, is handling the issue.

“However, I believe that the nation’s leadership under Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak is capable of handling this problem in the best possible way.

“I urge that amid the political fervour of a section of the people to bolster democracy in our country, it must also be ensured that this demand on democracy does not bring destruction to the country.

“Generally, we cannot be following too much the practices in other countries, as harmony and stability are vital foundations for a country and which all quarters must protect.

“I also urge the government to carry out everything that is entrusted to it by the people in a just and wise manner, and it is important that I as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong do not want to see this country with a plural society in a situation where there is animosity among them or a section of the people being enemies with the government, on whatever grounds.

“When any problem arises, we as a civilised society must resolve it through consultations and not follow our emotions, as the Malay saying goes, “Yang Dikejar Tak Dapat Yang Dikendong Berciciran (Not getting what we chase after and spilling what we carry).

“The fact is, street demonstrations bring more bad than good although the original intention is good. Instead, we should focus on our main objective to develop this country, and not create problems that will cause the country to lag behind.

“Remember that there is no land where the rain does not fall, there is no ocean that is not turbulent. That is how important moderation and compromise is, which has been long been in practice by our nation’s administration.”

Hati-Hait: Kereta Berplat singaPURA

I'm not being racist.

Shame on you!

PM Najib Segak Berbaju Kuning

Mungkin sebab PM kita cerah putih orangnya, jadi pakai apa-apa warna pun segak gayanya.

Aku teringat amanat PM Najib, 1Malaysia is about inclusivity.

Bak kata Tun Daim, "the game has changed".
