My poor friends

Kesian...

The two of them came all the way from Bandar Sri Permaisuri to Cyberjaya to cheer for us who're taking part in the Energizer Night Run 2010. On their way home, they fell from their motorcycle when it hit a hole. And all that happened while the runners (Hafiz, Rafin, Faizal, Ija, Kuril and I) and three-member cheer leading group (Zack, Intan and Syifa') were recharging at Old Town White Coffee for our early morning doses of coffee.

Since none of us were that familiar with Putrajaya (and Cyberjaya), Hafiz suggested Arol to locate the two mangsa kemalangan and offer the necessary assistance.

After picking up my car in Balakong, Hafiz, Zack and I rushed back to Putrajaya Hospital to see if we could be of any help. The time was already 2am and Putrajaya was very quiet and empty. Alhamdulillah, they were only given outpatient treatment and the motorcycle is still in good condition.

I, then, drove them home with Hafiz while Zack and Arol rode the motorcycle to Farid's home in Bandar Sri Permaisuri.

Hafiz dan Arol betul-betul tak senang hati, sebab mereka yang beria-ia mengajak Farid dan Nazri datang ke Cyberjaya untuk memberi sokongan moral. Meanwhile, Zack and I keep assuring them that, "memang dah nak jadi. Itu hanya sebab musabab saja.

Like my mother always say, "Kunfaya kun."

Energizer Night Run 2010

Alhamdulillah, my friends and I managed to finish the run with good time. The boy in the middle, Mohd Saiful from Batu Gajah, Perak finished his 42km run slightly above four hours. And he's only 17! To make me more green with envy, he has another run the next morning, but a short one.

"7km je bang," said him. Hafiz and I just smiled.

Sungaiku Indah?

The Selangor state government has made known to public of its strategic plan to rehabilitate and develop the Klang River. I like the idea and I really think we could learn a lot from Singaporean success in rehabilitating her polluted river.

I really hope one day, I could have picnic with friends at this spot. Those of you who frequent the STAR LRT might know this place. Until it's rehabilited and revitalised, the dream will remain as dream. Plus, the unpleasant smell too!

Get well soon, Naufan.

My anak buah is admited at Pantai Medical Centre, Bangsar since Monday. According to his mother Ila, Naufan has difficulty to buang air besar.

Selamat Pengantin Baru, Sue!

Sorry, I didn't make it to your big day in Ipoh. At first, I planned to car pool with a couple of our colleagues, but something popped up last minute and we have to abandon the plan.

Anyhow, I hope you like the gift, although not as posh as Bulat's but Rina, Ayud and JJ had picked the perfect gift I guess. And, the wrapper is below the bar set by Bulat too!

Would like to take this opportunity to wish you, "Selamat Pengantin Baru. Semoga berbahagia santak akhir hayat".

And don't forget to bring your wedding albums to office.

To Bagan Lalang Again!

Salizan and Faizal gave their friends (which includes me, of course! hehehe) a treat at Bagan Lalang Seaview Seafood. If I'm not mistaken, this is my third time there.

But, I think the food this time was not as good as my previous two visits. A bit more pedas! Or, is it because my taste bud was not doing me a justice?

Apa-apa pun, terima kasih daun keladi Salizan and Faizal. Jangan serik untuk ajak aku, Sukor, Azura, Ija, Kak Yati and her husband, Linda and her two gorgeous daughters.

Bulan, Dia dan Sepi

Oh rembulan nan tinggi di awan
selimutkan nyamanmu ke tubuhnya
pantulkan cahyamu buat indah mimpinya
santak dia lena beradu.

Dan aku?
biarlah hati ini di kejauhan.

Happy birthday Din, Faiz and Rahim!

All the best in your future undertakings. May Allah bless you guys with more rahmat, berkat and joy. Aamin.

These are friends from my Geng McD, which I get to know through my cousin, Nazrol.

Talking about birthday celebration, I like to celebrate the birthdays of family members and friends. But, when it comes to my own, I prefer to be all by myself, and a bit uncomfortable with my own birthday celebration.

Why? I really do not know why.

As far as I could remember, I only had four birthday celebrations in my entire life - in 1992, 1997, 2005 and 2007. While I got two good birthday parties, I didn't want to remember the ones in 1992 and 2007.

So, what did I do on my birthday in the previous years? I went for my annual vacation, all by myself. Except for 2009, where I went to Kota Kinabalu with my beloved parents. And, alhamdulillah, no birthday celebration.

What have you been doing, Aaron?

I'm so disappointed with Aaron Mokhtar, one of the finalists for the Biggest Loser Asia show!

Macam tak ada usaha langsung. Mana pergi semangat Malaysia Boleh?

Sudahnya, kita kalah kepada peserta daripada Indonesia, David Gurnani. Dan Aaron Mokhtar adalah finalis tergemuk! To think of it, okeylah, at least he earned one title.

Photolog: Sungai Gabai

A sunday afternoon with Farid, Zack and Zainal at Sungai Gabai, Selangor.

The area was ok, but a bit spoilt by rubbish left by some uncivilised patrons. I might want to come here again in the near future. A nice place to relax, read and swim.

I hope the authority could broaden the road to this waterfall and upgrade some basic infrastructure such as toilet and rubbish disposal area. And the ablution of nearby surau is really in bad condition. I found out there were a couple of Malay (I guess they're Muslims too) guys took a bath in this wuduk area. I hope they did not urinate there.

Sedihlah, tengok gelagat orang-orang Melayu zaman sekarang ini.

On the way home, we stopped at a foodstall that served laksa buyung. Since I do not eat laksa, I ordered a bowl of bihun sup instead. And we did stop at a nearby fruitstall to fulfill my mengidam of dokong.
